Women 1450-1750

Social- Women became a bigger part of society. By the end of the 18th century women were able to speak out about injustices. Also women started to help their husbands with work outside the home, then in the bigger cities women started to get jobs in factories and other places like that. Women’s clothes and fashions also changed through out the centuries. Went from domestic wives to participating in philosophy and reading
books, women can have their own money and could control their incomes,
worked in family businesses alongside with men, only upper class women felt
theses changes, equal merit according to Martin Luther

Political- Though a lot of the time women’s opinions were not acknowledged their influence over their husbands political views increased. They also influenced the political system. women still had no rights for voting or control over power, only power
they had was within their homes, they made all of the decisions relating to
their homes and or possibly salons and small businesses they run for the
famil.  Mistresses for the rich and intellectuals become more accepted which enabled them to influence a man's decisions

Religious- Women as well as everyone else in Europe became less focused on religion and more into the idea of Humanism. Young women sent off to convents, nuns were the only women allowed within religious studies and practice, chastity in marriage due to church, reformers of the church wanted ex-nuns to marry but only after they were
done with nunnery. Luther strongly believed that women's greatest callings were to be a mother and a wife, which probably sounded good to them because they had been abused in earlier times, not getting as much freedom.

Intellectual- Women were able to get a better education. This was made up of things they would need to know to run a household as well as religious study. Also women had more conversations about issues because they were more educated. women were allowed into the studies and educational facilities, allowed to manage own incomes and money, became mistresses and had control over household, must fulfill all domestic tasks, not allowed to be unfaithfu. Overall, the rich and intellectual women were finally allowed to read books, and participating in philosophy.

Technology- more books to read, allowed womens' ideas and thoughts into education,
households became more organized and better ran, business ran by women,
money management and income developed and now women use them Advances in technology in the household helped women. Some women went into the sciences, but were still not quite as equal as men.


Economic- Because of the cottage industry, women had money of their own and could control their own incomes.  this also allowed families to be self-sufficient. A few Women were able to get jobs which helped the economy and women started publishing books which also helped the economy more trade and business due to women adding their skills to certain areas, more money exchange because now women can handle their own incomes and money
