Summary:
Why did the Union
Army win the war? The North had 97% of the countries weapons, a government, a
strong Abe leader, railroads, navy, manufacturing, money, and the big wining
factor, a population of 20 million. Compared to the South's 3% of the weapons,
starting from scratch politically and economically, and population of 9
million; the North had a hearty head start. But the Confederate Army put up a
hefty fight, and with the help of Robert E. Lee, they fought for their
independence (on their home turf) with a similar intensity of the folk of the
