CHAPTER SUMMARY
This chapter deals
with the events that occurred during Madison's presidency. It included the events that led up to
the War of 1812, the War of.1812, and the events that followed. Throughout this
chapter we struggle with westward expansion and fight both the British and the
Indians in the war of 1812. We defeat the Indian confederation and break it up.
The Monroe doctrine states that no other countries can colonize
or disrupt North or South America. This is followed by the era of good feelings and the
Missouri Compromise. Then in1825 John Quincy Adams becomes president.
